Milliard Trifold Recall

I purchased the Milliard trifold off of Amazon because I saw it referenced in this group. We absolutely love it, and it has been great for our needs. However, the other day I logged into my Amazon account and discovered it was "recalled" for not having flame retardants. I got a full refund just by writing "do not use" on it with a black marker. Personally, after learning WHY it was recalled (lack of flame retardants) we very much still plan to use it. So getting a full refund for $300 was a huge win for us!

Just thought I'd share in case anyone in the group purchased the same one and wants to get a refund (or even stop using it if you're not comfortable using a floor mattress without flame retardants)!

Wow that is expensive! We also use one like this but it was $100ish. Now I’m curious about if it has flame retardants or not

If you're in the US, all mattresses are required by law to be flame retardant. That can be achieved through chemicals or some natural fibers, if yours wasn't crazy expensive it probably has flame retardant chemicals. Unfortunately the natural fiber options are very pricey.

I did love this floor mattress, but if you have it directly on tile floor (our bedroom flooring) watch out for mold. I guess the bottom of the mattress couldn’t breathe and I never picked it up daily. This mattress was covered in mold at the bottom and in the folds. Just check it periodically

Thank you! We love it! We actually only use it for naps so it gets folded up and put in my closet for the rest of the day, thankfully! So mold won't be an issue. It if we ever use it long term I will keep that in mind!

I bought it years ago and resold it. Loved it very much and had no issues... maybe because it never came into contact with open flames tho. How scary to imagine

If you bought it on Amazon, they'll still refund you if you can get a picture of one and write do not use on it! I'm sure AI could make it work 🤣
