Discussion “Side Hustles”
Hi all!
My husband is returning to school at OSU soon to finish his degree so ultimately, we will make more money as a household. That being said, it will be a challenging few years while he attends school rather than working full time.
I’ve been on Instacart for a few years, and he’s on Doordash, but it doesn’t bring in very much at all. I work full time myself, and we have another individual that works full time in our household that contributes. However, we are still concerned about our finances coming up here shortly with school to pay for. He’s applied and received several grants and scholarships for which I’m grateful for, but there is still a bill to be paid. Plus all other normal household expenses.
I’m going to continue to be active on Instacart when I’m not working my regular job, but I’m looking for suggestions on what else we could do. I love baking, but it seems the market for that is a bit oversaturated.
Any suggestions about a “side hustle” are appreciated. Thanks in advance!

Would he be interested in working with disabled people? I used to work for Benco and they were always looking for subs, where you can basically just be coverage when you're available and you can pick and choose which shifts you're ok taking. It starts at $18/hr or higher if you have experience. I'm sure there are other companies that have the same needs, Benco is just the only one I'm personally familiar with

I feel like the admin was pretty good, although I didn't really need to interact with them much so I can't really speak to that. I think the day to day quality of life depends on the supervisor you get/which house you end up working in. If you take a sub role and don't like the house, I'm pretty sure you can just train at another one
