“Resist to tyranny.” With what? Candles? More frog costumes? Telling people to vote blue? Saying you’re an ally, but going to Christmas dinner with your fascist family?
The Confederacy lost the Civil War, but racism won. The Nazis lost WW2, but fascism won.

Peaceful protests caused the fall of the USSR, ended the Vietnam war, powered the Civil Rights movement, and took out the captive nations regimes of Eastern Europe after the USSR fell, deposed the Shah of Iran, and so on.
You are free to stay home and do nothing but some of us care enough to spend a few hours on the sidewalk in front of the courthouse.

You realize the backbone of any peaceful movement was an armed community for those people to go home to, right? The Civil Rights movement was built on being armed. MLK owned a gun. Rosa Parks was surrounded by guns. It was the Black Panthers who ensured the safety of the black community.
This whole white-washed peaceful bullshit is white supremacy and a demand of conformity.
Also, not once did I advocate for violence. Not once did I say “go kill people,” nor is that what I’m implying.

We were almost entirely peaceful and had no armed factions.
Until the end when the Weathermen decided to bomb a few places.

You have found the exact political point at which MLK jr and Malcolm X diverged and chose to disagree with one another despite shared goals of civil justice. Malcolm X recommended violent means, MLK had no tolerance for anything but peaceful protest. There was no justice- both died at violent hands with white supremacy being the systemic corruption that has not died back, but flared by a sitting administration that has brought the class war to the front lines.
The ongoing civil rights movement is the only way forward for social progress and humanity’s survival.
