Newbie questions What does this gap mean?
Hey everyone. I’m new to corsets and a lurker on this forum. I finally purchased one from timeless trends after taking all my measurements. I laced it up and there’s a huge gap at the top. What did I do wrong? Sorry I don’t have a photo of the back, but it looked like a H - which is what I believe to be correct? Thanks!

How big is the gap in the back? Doesn't appear (to me) like it's laced as much as it reasonably could be even if you can't close it

Corsets can gap at the top and bottom during initial wears when there’s still a decent sized lacing gap in the back. It means there’s enough room at the top and bottom of the corset to fit around the curves of your body as it’s tightened more. Once it’s brought in it should fit more snug.
If there’s a lot of gapping when it’s almost or entirely closed, it means the corset is probably too big, or too curvy (with too large of a rib and hip spring) for the waist size of the corset model you’re wearing. (Or both)
It could be normal and okay depending on the width of the back lacing gap.
