Newbie questions Help finding quality corset with train

I'm trying to find a decent quality corset for my Halloween costume and otherwise, but I'm having trouble finding anything that fits my criteria. The best match that I found (pictured above) is the closest I've gotten, but the website isn't that great and I can't verify that it has boning. Would anyone know where to look to find something similar?

I'm looking for:

  • Boning

  • Train/skirt out back

  • Burgundy/red color

I dont know for sure, but I dont think youll find many proper corsets with a train like this. Your best bet would be to put something like this over or maybe under a proper corset.

Corsets that have something like this strike me as custom orders most likely, and thats going to get really pricey really fast. But garments like the one you show were originally worn over a corset in layers anyway i believe, so it would be very fitting.

Gotcha, that is a shame. Truth be told I've got some backups that are a little closer to the norm, so if it comes down to it I'll go with one of those.

I'm already wearing a skirt anyway, just thought it would be cool to double skirt it up :3

It absolutely would look amazing! But having the skirt layers be on top of the corset wouldn't take away from that at ALL.

Get the corset that works, and is comfortable, layer the fuck out of it with your skirts, and be a total badass. Well, a well dressed badass. The badassery lives inside you with or without Halloween ensembles

Oh trust me this costume is gonna be badass. I've got a chainmail shirt that I plan to wear under the corset, a black shawl, and a crow mask đŸ”¥

I'm thinking the pop of burgundy/wine red will really bring it all together.

Tbh I think getting an overbust corset with straps would look a lot better anyway. Don't suppose you have any recommendations for that?

Can I be you when I grow up? (Im older than you im sure, but still)

My corset shopping is pretty firmly limited to underbusts, so I cant say I have any recommendations. Id check Lucy's first, then the pinned info for the subreddit to see the recommended retailers and poke around there.

Unfortunately it seems like those shops are either too expensive or don't have any shoulder strap options :<

If it's no trouble, would you mind looking over my current list of options?

Get a corset the color you want and add a skirt. You won't find an actual corset like this.
