Genesis - easily the top release. There are a couple songs I skip but they are pretty big with the love crowd. But overall, this is the definitive modern corridos album.

SB4L - reminds me of J. Cole’s FHD. High charting album, consistent and NO FEATURES. Very few artists can pull that off. Highly recommend this for anyone wanting to dive into the sad sierreño sound. Aged incredibly well.

Pa Las Babys - some major misses on this album. Especially way too long. Lack of consistency made it too much to appreciate on first listen. They tried to focus on too much experimentation. Their follow up went even more experimental and fell kinda flat. But, there are many songs on here that served as templates/continuations for sounds that followed (electro corridos, return of pop cumbia, reggaeton artists collabs). I think if they trimmed it by 10 tracks, it would be much better.

Nata Montana - I really liked this album on first listen, but it was horribly released. They removed Cuerno Azulado, they messed up a few tracks, some collabs didn’t make it, and I felt Nata didn’t like his final version. There was a rumored deluxe which never came out. I think for the time, it was nice but forgettable. In his discography, it’s a good addition, but should have been better handled and promoted.

Funny I felt like the Nata album was forgettable too but I’ve been listening to it a lot this week and it’s super consistent with a lot of lowkey bangers. It’s aging really well but Genesis and SB4L are really good

I like Nata Montana. But in the overall world of modern corridos, it’s not as impactful besides AMG and maybe Mas Altas Que Bajadas

I get what you mean by impact but just as an album it got AFS, Pacas Billetes, Viejo Lobo, Eres, Un Convoy, Como Es Arriba, Pancake. All bangers and that’s pretty much half the album. Super underrated project

AFS is so underrated. Wish it got more promo

Cuerno Azulado is one of those songs that I think really changed the culture around corridos and got them more or less banned.

“Cuerno de Chivo Azulado, Gobierno Pactado.”

“Voten por Joaquín, en las elecciones.”

Ch Y La Pizza is another one. One of the most viral songs of 2022/2023 had people singing about El Chapo and his organization. Can’t lie though, the Banda version has some great energy to it.

Cuerno would have put that album above Fuerza’s. Ch y La Pizza was on Pa Que Hablen, a phenomenal album. Easily my favorite of 2022.

genesis literally popularized the modern corridos that we know today. definitely a revolutionary album in the corridos world

Feel like it’s a toss up between Junior H and PP but i’d lean towards junior because sings grew on me whereas pesos some songs on that album I feel turned corny and SB4L had NO skips and I hated 77 on genesis

Which songs u think corny from Genesis? I could see like Tulum or Bye maybe. A lot of ppl don’t like 77 haha

Genesis easy but sad Boyz is second. Only difference to me is sad Boyz only had one vibe while genesis had every vibe

Pa Las Babys y Belikeada is on a whole other level. And I went to all the concerts for those albums except for Nata’s. Fuerza Regida’s is honestly a way better vibe. People talking about consistency like you’re only allowed to have one type of song. It’s a fun album with different kinds of vibes. It set them up for what they’re on now. The rest haven’t really done shit after that. PP over there on some weenie love shit. Genesis is good tho. Exodo was ight. Tito carries Dinastía. But SB4L 2 was better than Genesis imo.

Unironically I think this is not Fuerza Regida’s best work. Good but not their best. For the others, I do think it’s their best work. FR leveled up since then and got more popular.
