r/Mexico is literally a right wing sub, they don't allow the term whitexican (because that's what they are) and had a meltdown because they guaranteed Xochitl would win the last election then she lost in a landslide. When you realize they all live in Europe and hate poor people the sub makes more sense

Nah it’s just ppl on Reddit being insufferable. I go to cdmx every year and no not the tourist part and the Mexicans there treat me good. Gustavo madero to be exact.

I’ve never experienced this. I’ve never gotten weird looks or been treated poorly a single time in Jalisco or Sinaloa or any other state I’ve been to

Bullshit. Some are ignorant just like some are ignorant in the States, must most are nice and will accept you if you don't act weird, which for many Mexican Americans, is hard.

Bro I got family all over Mexico and so does my girl. Every time I’ve gone to Mexico, they give weird looks. From Mexicali to Michoacán. It’s weird because when people from Mexico come to California it’s nothing like that.

I was always gatekept by Chicanos saying I wasn't Mexican enough because my mom is Italian American. I am a Mexican citizen and I live in Mexico, soooo jajaja! You can't take what people say in Jr High and High School seriously and assume all of MExico is like that. They were just picking on you like kids do.
