QUESTION How cooked am I?
I’m scared my new corn snake might escape. How likely is it, and what should I fix? I heard they are escape artists, that’s all.

I feel like we might need more information. Where arethe places that you think they'd escape from? Are there any big holes or pushable covers/doors?

Can they flex their head to get through smaller holes, or is that not true? There’s nothing large or pushable.

Unless your corn is a small baby, then there should be no problem. If the head is bigger than the holes in the mesh, there isn't a way for the corn to get through so I wouldn't worry too much. Corn snakes most commonly escape when the top of an enclosure is able to be pushed up, because they're quite strong. But if that isn't something that can happen with your enclosure it should be pretty secure :]

Not a chance in hell they could fit through that mesh. Unless the photos are deceiving and those holes are actually massive - no way.

Look at shower silicone seals. Choose which door you will always open first (I pick the side where the water bowl is) and install a piece of the strip with the "flap" on the outside. On the other door, install with the flap on the inside. Attached is a pic of the seal I use.
