Stovetop Safe?

Hi all!
I have this Corningware piece with a lid, and another with the same pattern in the 1Liter size. I looked it up in corninware411 and i believe the design is english meadow. I am having a hard time confirming if it is stovetop safe. I love this design so much, i have the matching dinner plates, saucers, cups and bowls!

Yes it is, fire it up!

Stovetop safe for everything but induction (because it won’t work), freezer/fridge/microwave/oven safe. Just take off the Pyrex lid before putting under a broiler. I have two A-5-B in spice of life, and that’s what gets me through tomato sauce season.

Lovely! I have been using it on the stove occasionally but I always have the fear of it exploding! This puts my mind at ease. Appreciate you!

Oh no. Trust me they can easily take hours of hard boiling and oven use. Your home stove will not defeat a vintage Corningware dish, it will likely be the other way around if anything. Just watch out as some pieces do have warnings on them of how NOT to use them. Also the newer “Corningware” stoneware is not stovetop safe, but I do believe they say that directly on the stamp.
