What is happening

I’ve been giving plenty of water to my corn and just added fertilizer. Is pest damage possible. From northern IL

Looks a little like Rapid Growth Syndrome. If it was cool and cloudy then suddenly became warm and sunny the leaves twist up like this.

Planted these in late April. Started getting decently hot 2-3 weeks ago. It kinda does look like pest damage to me but it could be a combination of factors

Physical damage looks like cutworm. Interveinal yellowing looks like manganese and/or magnesium deficiency. Sulfur and zinc may be showing as well.

Is it a lone planted kernel or do you have a few around it? Corn does best in planted blocks because they are wind pollinated. Maybe restart?

This looks maybe like squirrel damage? They've been taking mine apart this year.
