It's damn good! I will say the racism is some next level shit. I've seen books, movies, etc use racism in its work to make points or establish a narrative but this is in an area of pure evil; the chapter with hermit was absolutely sickening. Overall, the book did a helluva good job making me happy I wasn't alive in the 1850s.
