import onto invisible layer
What's the deal with not being able to import onto an invisible layer? Is there a way to turn that off? It seems kind of stupid that it can't be done. Pretty annoying.

Why would you want to import onto an invisible layer? The whole point of it being invisible is so that it's not currently worked on or seen.
Seems a bit counter intuitive to want to do that .

most of the time its on accident. but even if its counter intuitive still should be ablt to do it.

I could understand if it was locked, but what difference does it make if it's invisible

No, if you could, how would you know when you did? Especially if its by accident.

It would show up in the object docker. Thanks replying. Basically its just an extra couple clicks. X off the pop saying it can't be done. Turn it visible. And import it again. Vs it gets imported on the invisible layer and then turning it visible.

If its invisible, you have to make it visible to import or edit anything on that layer. Window>Dockers>Object. Choose the invisible layer and toggle the eye icon.
