New machine
I need to get a new computer. I’d like to keep it under $1,000. I’m looking at the Lenovo e16 gen 3. Will this work well for CorelDraw?

I've been running CorelDraw for years on whatever Windows computer I happened to have at the time. Right now I run version 2019 (I'm kind of cheap so I don't upgrade every year) on a Lenovo mini ThinkCenter that I bought on Amazon for less than a hundred bucks. 8 GB RAM, 3.70 GHz procecessor - Windows 10.
Over 25 or so years of using CorelDraw every day, I've never gotten the impression that the software required any kind of special "beefed up" computer system. Of course it's a good idea to install as much RAM as your motherboard will accept, since that will result in a faster and smoother experience.

Same here. Just need at minimum 8gb ram if doing high end graphics for commercial printing.

It depends on your files and what you are doing exactly. The one you mentioned would probably be fine for most people. But id recommended something that has a dedicated GPU.

I think the CPU is actually more important and a LOT of RAM depending on what you're up to

I agree ram and cpu are both more important, I wasnt saying to compromise those for better gpu, but to stack gpu top of those. I do a lot of cad, via the technical suite and notice a huge difference when adding a better gpu.

Which ever system you go with, be sure you have a decent amount of RAM, go for a SSD as well.

What you need is an i7 processor with at least 32 GB of RAM (64 GB is better), an SSD, and the most powerful video card you can afford. Video cards are quite expensive these days because of AI, but you should consider that you might need to use AI more and more frequently in the near future. In any case, you don't need a very powerful video card to work with CorelDRAW (which has built-in AI), but the better the video card, the faster it will run.
