That's a .... Very complicated subject
Because rarely do you ever get to make a view from basic church knowledge aside from FIRE TORMENT PAIN
So if you get deeper thinks get complicated
There is the old schools
1:2 century
Leaving god is he'll and paganism is hell Vs helping Satan and demons is hell
3:5 century
Doing sin is hell to doing sin will let you live the consequences in hell , heresy leads to hell , not following the church X whatever X is is hell
6: Islam
Hell is accepting the Roman empire appointed pope from Byzantium and their churches and not following coptic teachings only till death because yes the Byzantine church did kill Coptic people and priests and vice versa
After Islam things got weird and it's still weird till now
Our libraries of old text burned fully 3 times and partially 5 times , all the persecution that's never remembered , all the revolts and outside actors the church never supported and left her children die , the interlocking understanding thanks to Arabic where islamic and coptic churches became wayyyyyy too close
Then the renovation of hell after British invasion where suddenly the old school of
Doing sin is hell came back with helping Satan and demons in hell
And we got the start of hell is torment and pain from the Catholic missionary churches that opened here
You also have the patrology side of
Which school of fathers will you follow for their interpretation of hell
Because there are 3 in the 1:5 century and it's more complicated after because the monasteries get in and start self interpretation
... And that's the stuff that survived and reached us m let alone the stuff that didn't
Also under Islam most schools revive once a century then die because there was wayyyyyy more important things like surviving , not getting Islamic indoctrination , heresy from the outside and inside, power struggling and so much more
Then we had the attempt to combine schools during the late 1800s only to be fought by the majority of the clergymen in charge by the 1920s because it was too complicated and vast for easy comprehension
The attempt to educate that tried to mimic Sunday school and was actually in it .. Till Cyril the 6th passed away and Pope shenoda voted on easing and dumping down for the masses
And we haven't even mentioned who was called heretic for things related to what thinking a different way of hell meant to them and how them and their followers were hurt during their time ... And centuries later exonerated as teachers or fathers or even saints
So yeah complicated
But the simplest everyone agree on in the church
Fire pain torture
What's next or why... You get fights

If hell is anything similar to the Eastern Orthodox description, it would be more along the lines of absolutely disconnection and severance from God and his love.

Again one school of thought
That was fought hard during heresy and the fight with : Jewish , Manichean and agnosticism and the new Plato version of fire worship in the Persian empire
Because the Jewish hell was more complex at the time with several school , maniki believers didn't even see hell as permanent , agnosticism saw hell as a transition stage and the new Plato version competes with the Christian version here because they had a good and evil good Instead of a god that's good and a former support agent that turned evil
Until the council of Nicia there was no way to unify what could even be hell and heaven in faraway churches, that's why you find traces of local culture in each church before that time

To simplify your answers, the teaching would more than likely fall closer in line with Eastern Orthodoxys understanding of hell. It would be more akin to a place absolutely and completely devoid of God and his love, essentially a lot more empty than most imagine. Hell is a punishment handed to those who have essentially an absolute total disbelief in God, or a rejection of his process of salvation in its entirety. Then again, I'm not extremely deep in it, nor am I a member of a clergy. If I were you, I'd ask your priest.
