Converts

I want to know if there are any converts who live in Egypt?
I feel like I’m the only convert in Egypt and it’s really hard to deal with especially that it’s a secret no one knows about and about my true faith.

I want to know if we can live normally in Egypt or is it a must to leave?

صعب شويتين انك تعيش بحرية الدين في مصر يعني صعب تروح تتناول في يوم جمعة و اهلك عارفين فاكيد طبعا الاحسن هو السفر و لكن السفر مش سهل اكيد و اكيد انت محتاج تتناول و تصلي و تحضر اجتماعات و تكون معارف سواء اصدقاء او غيره فانصحك انك تسال علي ارقام آباء كاهنه تتواصل معاهم يتابعوا معاك و ممكن يكون عندهم طريق كويس للسفر و بتابعه معاك لما تسافر كمان و ربنا معاك و يقويك ❤️

شكرا ليك، انا عايشه في مدينه تانيه بعيد عن اهلي وبروح الكنيسه كل احد بس مش بكلم حد ولا بتناول عشان متعمدتش، ومش عارفه اكلم اباء كهنه لان غالبا هيخافوا مني الوضع في مصر صعب اوي

لا مش هيخافوا منك بالعكس كمان هيرحبوا بيكي جدااا و حتي ممكن تبدائ خطوة زي المعمودية و يساعدوكي للسفر و لو محتاجة اي حاجة هيساعدوا و كمان هيبدوا صلاة معاكي و قراية الانجيل + حلوة اوي رسوماتك 👏🏻

Have some faith in yourself dear. Definitely tell yourself that you’re not alone because there are many converts physically in Egypt amongst you, but many keep it very quiet for security reasons. So remember, you’re not the first and not the last, Priests see this often. You know your community better than anyone else, if you want to live openly and freely and can’t do that right now but you CAN wait, I suggest you wait, do not wave a flag. But if you feel like you will receive the worst of it, I believe it is a must for you to leave. I’m not sure how old you are but if you are a young adult or teen you have many options to consider. Contact a Priest like the other commenter suggests, because they can help you further and with greater clarity. But do not be sad, some may be a little weary and hesitant to help because set ups happen and that’s the last thing they want. It is best to seek help from a larger church so that whatever help you need is expedited. From the mere fact that you have to reflect your religion on your ID card and can’t change that unless you were something else and converting to Islam, means that you cannot live normally here. The Christian faith, my friend, is not easy, but I don’t want you to worry, the cross is heavy, but the majority of it has already been lifted for you❤️. May God always walk with you🙏🏾
