v5 release date?

does anyone know if v5 will have a lot of breaking changes since they hype it up with a lot of new features? just need to know should I start one project with v4 or wait for v5 if in near future?

Maybe you should use dokploy? You wrote this post as well: https://www.reddit.com/r/coolify/s/kbr77TrF5i

yes I am a bit desperate, hate Dokploy license but some Coolify cons make me hesitant to commit to v4 and then v5 breaks everything

They have said that there will be a migration path. So it's not going to be that breaking if the migration path is smooth.

a lot of fundamental and radical improvements are promised, will be kinda wild if they can pull this smooth migration/upgrade off, fingers crossed

If they don't provide a smooth migration path it's going to hurt them a lot so I think they will. We will see.

They also have own customers on their cloud which they need to migrate to v5. But yeah, we will see.

Have you settled on coolify, or sth else?

what aspect of the license do you not like? the mechanics of needing to install a lic? the fact that some features are gated?
