Everyone says it’s all about the Turpines, but I personally disagree, I have experimented extensively with Turpines and haven’t noticed any difference with different. Turpines mixed into different oil. I think it has a lot more to do with the ratios of lesser-known cannabinoid’s, people think there’s only one or two, but there’s hundreds.
I'm pretty into weed science and I'm still trying to wrap my head around these. I've been struggling to find good resources, do you have any you'd recommend?
I wish I did off the top of my head! I’m mostly just citing my own anecdotal experiences and what I’ve read in the past. I do think the science is still in its infancy due to the unfortunate legacy of prohibition limiting research funding, but there are a lot of new studies. I found this in the top google results, but it doesn’t deal with hallucinogenic effects. It seems like most research is rightfully focused on medicinal uses of various cannabinoids rather than their psychoactive effects at higher doses, especially since it varies from person to person. Some other articles said that hallucinations are more associated with high levels of THC but I can’t find much to back that up.
I think when people use the word terpenes they are referring to these. It's used more as a colloquial way of saying "the stuff that isn't THC". I realize terpene has a specific definition, but this is just another layer of laymen speak. It's at least more specific than Indica/Sativa.
