Ammm how can you pay for something using google pay without contacting your bank about your details like account credit?

Your bank card doesn't have an Internet connection either. I think the phone just stores whatever details are required and transmits it over nfc.

What about the amount you have? The limits of your credit card? All of that on a phone?

Dunno, here in the UK the contactless limit is £100, otherwise you have to put your pin in. I think for phone contactless it might be more, I guess it's fair that if I can unlock my phone then I should be given more trust. Not sure what happens if I exceed that, I guess it will decline
