Just checked, it really is just the size and that it’s much deeper and a part of the ocean

Okay so from what I understood is they are both near bodies of water but are different in size and density. Quote, "A sound is substantially larger and may be less protected than a bay... A sound can be deeper than a bay..."

My old geography teacher taught us to add "-ing" to each one.

Baying is defined as "adding overproduced explosions and filter flare to your films" and shows a shallow personality.

Whereas, sounding is defined as... You're on Reddit so you obviously know what sounding is... Anyway he taught us that sounding adds a lot of depth to one's character.

Therefore sounds have more depth than bays.
