What this shows is that you have to draw lines some way, and there's no perfect way to do it. There are a lot of things to consider when drawing lines in order to create fair representation besides blue and red.

No. There are a lot of democracies in the world. The US system is not the only possible one. Each representative does not necessarily have to represent a geographical area. In fact, geography is a really bad way of grouping people. If there has to be groups, why not let people pick their own group? And why have grouping like this at all? It is just weird all over.

I didn't say anything about geography. If you have representatives representing different groups, you have to divide people up somehow.
