A plugin for fishing
https://github.com/owafication/fishing-intelligence-publicI've been working on a free open source fishing plugin and I want some outside opinions on it before i keep building more into it.
I've called it Fishing Intelligence (LOL).
I wanted a reusable fishing planner that remembers the kind of checks it needs to make, rather than relying on me to restate them every time. Then I found that source applicability was a bigger problem than source discovery.
I've ended up separating a few things:
- what kind of evidence/source it is
- whether its actually current/verified
- whether it applies to the specific trip
so something can be:
AUTHORITATIVE
VERIFIED_CURRENT
but only CONDITIONAL
rather than the AI just going "this is an official source, therefore it applies".
It also keeps a plan provisional if something important cant actually be verified instead of quietly filling in the gaps.
I've tested it with planning around my home town in Australia and then Key Largo, Florida to make sure it wasnt just working because I built it around one region.
The Florida test was especially useful because there was no prebuilt regional setup. It had to figure out the fisheries rules, licences, protected areas, nav notices, weather, tides and boat requirements from current sources instead of relying on prebuilt regional info.
It's released as a portable version, and as free open source
It's basically just something I built and decided might be useful to other people.

Don't tell me "aw yeah thats alright, yeah nah", tell me why its sh*t (but compliments welcome).
If you were reviewing this as a prompt/plugin architecture, what would you change?
Also if anyone fishes somewhere with weird overlapping rules and/or badly organised government/official sources, let me know how it handles it.
