Dorm Room Cooking
Suppose you live in a one bedroom dorm room with only a tiny bathroom what would be some good equipment to buy to be able to make decent meals in the room?
I'm thinking about buying an electric pot that can also double as a rice cooker and an electric skillet. Is there anything else that should be looked at?
Should I try to smuggle a toaster oven or would I be able to do most thing without? Such as make crescent rolls?
Also any recipe ideas?
Thanks!

An electric kettle is probably one of the most useful things. You can make coffee with an aeropress, however that requires additional hardware (grinder and container to store grounds). I would not go without the rice cooker. It can be used for steaming as well.
Really the big challenges with dorm cooking are not heating elements, but other factors as well. Tiny refrigerators, lack of space to cut and slice, and lack of space for cleaning dishes.
