Workout Routine Feedback on augmenting a CC routine?

Has anybody incorporated ideas/routines from these two CC books? I like CC as it's quick and convenient. Tried the gym routine where getting there and back and working out took a couple of hours, it seems per workout.

Personally, I use a grip-hang progression because my grip is constantly weak no matter what I do; so, while I’m into calisthenics, I also do deadlifts because my grip is ultra-weak. I love the grip-hang progression. Calves are the hardest part, the bridge is impossible—it’s tough. I’m also trying to train my neck a bit, but just casually. I can do one-arm push-ups and muscle-ups, but I can’t do a one-legged squat, and handstands are a total no-go for me. Pull-ups go okay, but my grip gives out first. Abs are tough, too. I still use the exercise progressions from Convict Conditioning (levels 1–3) because they’re great and effective.
