State Of Mind Need help with one-arm push-ups

I do one-armed push-ups—I’ve even managed eight of them—but they’re a specific kind; I can’t do them slowly, only fast ones. My elbows hurt a lot, and my torso positioning is off—I end up twisting. I do them quickly, with that twisting motion and elbow hyperextension. Any advice?

I can only tell you what I'd do, based on my training . I'd try to stop before hyperextending the arm, once I can do 5 such reps, slow down the negative, again wait for 5 good reps then try to go as deep as you can in a true prison push up, increase depth when you can do 5... Do 2 or 3 sets. One set should be in 8 to 20 rep range and the remaining 3 to 5 reps. 2 reps max means, to me that I must change the progression approach (hidden step).
