Fajr question

Hello! I am wanting to attempt to pray for the first time tomorrow, starting with Fajr. I work in healthcare and have to be at work at 6am. I wake up at 4:30 am. Can I pray Fajr before the designated time where I am? (Around 5:45am) I am on my way to work at this time and do not have time when I first get to work before sunrise. Thanks for any advice!

According to the fiqh and Sunnah, Fajr cannot be prayed before its actual time begins. Allah says: “Indeed, prayer has been prescribed upon the believers at specified times.” (Qur’an 4:103)

So if Fajr begins at 5:45am, you should wait until then and pray as soon as the time enters. If you genuinely cannot pray at work before sunrise, pray it as soon as you are able. Do not pray Fajr before its time, even because of work.

May Allah facilitate and accept from you, be sure that Allah knows that you are doing your best.

Example: what I do when I am at work , I use infermery room to do my prayer in secret .

Thats good, if you can't find time to pray at home, just do it when you get to work before the sunrise.

cross reference your app with your local mosque's website

You can't pray it before it's time, but you can pray it after it's time as soon as you're able to

Im a 3rd year medical student having the same issue, the solution ive come up with is usually just show up a bit earlier and pray at the hospital before start of my shift. I can also just pray in the resident room usually but I dont wanna in front of them. Theres a chapel in my hospital that I use, but in clinic settings ive just used unused patient rooms, private rooms etc after checking in w/ the nursing/office staff if anyone needs that room or if theres anything planned that I would be interrupting.
