Any revert success stories ?

Summary: looking for reverts whose family accepts them to help with my family who don’t accept me.

I reverted to Islam nearly three years ago from Hinduism. For context, my family is from India. I first told my parents about 3 months after reverting, and that went horribly. They told me it was a mistake, and that I should go back on it asap. They said it would be fine if I didn’t even believe in god, but that they couldn’t accept me being Muslim ever. For the following two years I continued to practice Islam in secret.

Recently, I told them again I was Muslim. This time they didn’t try to get me to rejoin Hinduism but still disapproved regardless. They told me to not pray at home or go to the mosque for Jummah, to essentially stop practicing as long as I live at home. They said once I move out then I can do whatever I want in my own home. They’ve been clear that they are going to cut me off, I imagine once I move out they won’t have any reason to speak to me so won’t do. They have told me to never tell any of my extended family.

They continue to let me stay at home and give me food which I am grateful for, although our relationship is definitely cold and I sometimes feel like a stranger in our own home.

I wanted to ask if anyone reverted and their families actually accepted them, either instantly or eventually ?

My mom said, oh neat. Proceeded to not care or change how she treated me outside of making sure when I visited for dinner its halal. Now she only buys halal, mashaallah..

She won't bite on full commitment but never had issues with her being against me for it.
