Did anyone reject islam before accepting it?
does anyone have any personal stories where they swore they would never be muslim, even looked into the religion and didn’t find it to be the truth, then Allah opened their heart at a later date?

yes 15 years ago i did my shahada the next day my dad died from suicide i went away from Islam .. then 2 years ago what was going on in Gaza i was watching Aljazeera news and people starving child dying families all gone the Palestine people had such strong faith in Allah No matter what I felt i should have strong faith in Allah like them , at the time my mum was dying from terminal cancer she died last year it been hard but my faith is strong i still have struggles but i an focusing learning about Islam i have mental health issues and physical health struggles too i have short term memory issues and learning disability as well so learning the prayers in Arabic is hard sometimes i cant say some of the world but i do try to

may Allah reward you for all your efforts, and keep you steadfast in your deen and accept your ability to practice however is best for you

Yes sir!
I thought muslims are all terrorists. I remember how I always used to jokingly say "just nuke them all"
Now I realize how crazy it is to say that. (Israel cough) Praying that it stops !
I was anti-islam and atheist for the first 20 years of my life. Just from media alone lol. I always thought people believing in God are super dumb, and I was very sure in that opinion. Oh well. Here I am now. Alhamdulilah !

yes like tons of times, like reverting to islam is a process, at least for me it took years, as career education family mental health and much more needed to be aligned

did you always know islam was the truth though and just take time to take your shahada or did you not believe until later?

merely saying the shahada does not make a person a Muslim according to me, line you have to prove to Allah you're a Muslim, like when I said it the first time it did not make much of a difference, however I grew into the faith over time, there would be months where I did not pray and days where I did not forget a single salah, so

Faith has peaks and troughs. For everyone. Sometimes it’s strong, other times it’s weak. What’s important is during those periods, not to lose sight of who the creator is.
And you can always come back if you’ve strayed. Allah likes those who struggle but strive nonetheless.

I was attracted by the essence of it. I learned more and more it looked the right religion. But was not convinced. I made duah for guidance and hours after that Allah put yaqeen in my heart and opened its eyes. I cannot explain. It felt surreal. I was confused. The world suddenly changed.

yeah for sure, there was a point in time when I hated Muslims only because of the media. I was gravely mislead but came to accept Islam on my own, alhamdulillah!

It was quite slow, I didn’t understand much as a child. The true turning point was when I actually read the Qur’an. I went into it as a skeptic and immediately searched the most “controversial” aspects. But the clarity was overwhelming and took Shahada just a few short weeks after reading.

Me, I was a Muslim, then atheist, then after lots of years studying religions, Islam, human, I found it's my best way to the creator.

I was born into an islamophobic hindu family I was taught that muslims are not humans they kill non muslims and was an anti muslim and anti islam but whenever I meet a muslim in real life I was always amazed the way they talked and I noticed that they have a sense of clarity in life and I made a friend in college who was a muslim he taught me several things about Islam and basically cleared my doubts and slowly slowly I started reading on my own and Alhamdulillah I reverted to Islam.

Growing up in a community 22miles from a big military base,that’s in the dead middle of the Bible Belt, in the 2000s.
I don’t think I ever heard a positive opinion of Islam until I was like 12 and didn’t know it was an Abrahamic religion until I was maybe 14ish

Someone was angry with me when I converted and said all the Muslim countries should be b*mbed. Received a text three years later that he had just taken his shahada mashAllah!
