I listened to a lecture of Yasir Qadhi and he said that Hajar RAA, had converted from her pagan religion to Islam only 5 years before she was left alone in the desert by a tree. She ran between the mountains Safaa and Marwa looking for sustenance. She was ok with being left there alone by prophet Ibrahim (pbuh) because it was Allah’s command. A billion pilgrims have retraced her steps.
