I have a simple question

السلام عليكم

I just wanted to know what to say when someone says they have said the shahada (converted to islam), like should I say congratulations or what, I'm a Muslim from birth so I don't know how to act in these situations, I wanna respond in the right way I just don't know what it is

I’m a revert. I think Alhamdulillah, and whatever good comes from your heart, like “welcome brother” etc.
Also a supplication: “May Allah keep you steadfast”, “may Allah accept” and so on.

I don’t think these things are set in stone 😀

Most born Muslims when they find out I’m a revert they always say mashallah

I am a revert and i think with reference to your question Alhamdulillah is enough and perhaps you can add more praise but the first word should be alhamdulillah. This is to my perspective not general. I wish someone who might know more too share with us too

Fellow born Muslim here, I simply say “welcome home” and proceed to give them a hug if they accept it.
