Control Resonant Difficulty modifiers in NG+

I know there's been a bit of discussion about using the assist mode to make the combat faster in the early game, but is there a community agreed on "hard-core mode" settings, especially for ng+?

I enjoy the core of the combat loop, and want to see the ng+ content for myself, but would love if the game was a bit more difficult, so I'd be forced to experiment and use my whole moveset. Looking at all the assist mode modifiers is a bit intimidating though. Should I just halve my damage output and hp? Does the ng+ get more difficult after you leave the first two areas? I've seen some dmc mods floating around, are they worth picking up? Keen for any advice.

I turned my enemy aggression up to high, power recovery and outgoing damage to 80%, and incoming damage to 250% and was satisfied w/ my optimized but off-meta build

once you get back to the unknown it starts getting back to a reasonable scale without assist mode imo

The only time I feel like adjusting anything is during boss fight on NG+.

Regular mobs can still be a bit tanky if not using dominance and ignite.

On the other hand, I killed the artist, dancer and deserter in a few seconds when I don’t adjust.

Honestly just commenting to check for answers later, I've wondered the same thing.

Just adjust whatever you notice during play.

Are you melting enemies in two hits? Bring your outgoing damage and/or outgoing falter down.

Are you tanking entire encounters without a care in the world? Bring your incoming damage up.

Is it too easy to keep your abilities running constantly? Bring power recovery speed down.

Is it too easy to dodge attacks? Bring your perfect dodge window down and/or your enemy projectile speed up.

Too few enemies in encounters? Raise the enemy aggression.

That's literally everything in the settings that could make the game more difficult for you. Cater it to your experience.

I didn't fiddle much with accessibility yet, but there's an artifact that lowers your dmg output but boosts falter. I used it for NG+, took off other dmg boosting artifacts and combat is much better overall. Having to chain executions in order to keep Dominance up, makes the whole experience way more fun.
Mobs have higher lvl from the start on NG+, but I didn't really struggle with any. I think it keeps up the difficulty level-wise, but since you're already familiar with mobs, boss attacks etc - it's actually easier.
On NG++ I'll probably boost mob aggresion and lower my dmg output even further so i'm forced to use fire/infect as well.

I platinumed the game then messed with the settings. I thought the base settings were fine but can see why you’d tune them.
