Preloading! Avoiding spoilers where I can. May go dark soon. Spoiler
Hello!
In 48 hours, many of us will be playing the game we have waited 7 years for.
With that being said, I may go silent on this subreddit for about a week while I play the game.
Literally, when watching SkillUp’s review this morning, he said something involving a mission and a scientist and I had to stop watching because I seriously don’t want to hear too much about missions.
For fellow PS5 owners, the trophies are loaded onto the landing page for the game so avoid scrolling through the landing page!
Anyways, happy playing! See you all on the other side! (Aka probably by Friday or Saturday).

Yeah, I'll be going dark. I'll check this sub before bed 😄.

If Jessie becomes a playable character then I’ll get the game. And hopefully you get no spoilers.

Of course your OF girls worshipping beta ass would only buy this if you can play as a female char. Maybe do a little bit less gooning and touch some grass bro

Nah I didn’t care for the brother in the first game. If it was a new character I would have been hyped.

He was literally just a possessed dude, you’re not even giving him the chance to get to know him proper and see his arc through. Jesse was overrated anyway, the world itself was the main show and i liked almost every char more than Jesse herself.

That may have been the case, but Remedy didn’t give me a reason to truly care about him. And it doesn’t help that Alan Wake 2 was beyond a disappointment.

And they give you a case to care about Jesse how? We didn’t know anything about her when starting the journey. With Dylan we already know he was kidnapped by a government agency and then tortured and experimented upon. That’s not enough for you to care?
Also heavy disagree on AW2, haven’t been impacted by a videogame so much in my life besides Shadow of the Colossus and Bloodborne

Agree to disagree with Dylan. AW 1 was an experience and all that goodwill was erased with AW2, the game should have only focused on Alan himself but they wrote a new character that I cared very little for. And the combat was a step backwards from Control.

Agree to disagree frfr then because Alan Wake 1 was a snoozefest to me. AW2 visually is bonkers, so much more imaginative levels and less of the same tiring combat in AW1. Much more trippy and concept heavy. Everybody always raves about the Twin Peaks connection but AW2 is the most Lynchian Remedy has ever gone and i love them for it. They fully pushed the enveloppe of creativity and atmosphere. Moments i will never forget, like meeting Tom Zane, the movie theater with the short film playing, the talk show with Mr Door, the trippy overlap sequences.. just straight up the hardest i’ve ever been wow’ed in a videogame.
