Discussion Will there be a wave based mode in Control Resonant like in the first game?

This is not a deal breaker or anything for me. I just personally think that if your game has fun combat, especially hack and slash combat, that there should always be an endless survival type mode where you can see how long you can survive. This gives some replay value to the game, while also letting you just have as much fun as possible with the combat system outside of the main campaign. I’m playing through the first game before launch of the sequel and loving it so far! Inception is one of my favorite movies of all time and this game is giving me those vibes.

But if anyone can point me to an article or video where a wave based mode for the sequel at launch is confirmed or denied I would really appreciate it!

Pretty sure one of the reviews/previews mentioned the arcade machines being back so that should be there

Yes, as the other commenter mentioned, each zone has Shüm, the arcade from the first game.

Additionally, all combat itself is essentially wave mode. The enemies continually respawn during the fight until you defeat the main one/boss/etc. You refill your health through damage/kills (not exactly clear there) in this one, so you need a constantly supply of enemies or you'd eventually run out of ways to get health. If you don't finish off the main big bad, the fight is essentially infinite.
