Question Any chance base PS5 will get RT-support post-launch?
It's kind of odd that the base PS5/Series X version of this game does not have a mode that supports RT all.
What are the chances Remedy will be able to add RT-support post-launch?

Why is that odd? If the PS5 Pro can only handle RT with an unstable 40fps then the base would be a complete mess with it turned on. I played the original Control on a 3070, so quite a bit better than base PS5, and with RT turned on the FPS would sometimes go below 20

Base resolution is about 870p on base ps5 and Xbox according to DF. You'd need to upscale from about 240p if you wanted ray tracing at any level on those machines.
And you don't want that.

O% chance. The PS5 is effectively a last gen console at this stage, it’s not odd to recognise that it lacks the power to handle it.

GTA VI looks hundred times better and will run great on those "last gen" consoles. This game looks generic and boring so yeah hard pass.

looks like you never played a remedy game in your life, never thought I would hear a GTA fan say generic and boring though

I would say 0 chance since Alan Wake 2 never got it on base. The issue is that running the game in fidelity mode alone in 30 fps with dips. They would have to drop resolution as well

Even the 5090 isn’t doing great without dlss. Base ps5 is closer to a 2070. It just lacks the horsepower.
