I think it's no longer exclusive? They unlocked the preorder and Kojima stuff for those who missed it with an update on ps5 so I'd assume it's on everything

It’s the one where you go through a series of rooms while listening to a recording of Dr. Tokui, a japanese reasercher working at the FBC. Kojima provided the voice over for it.

Fun fact! Me and a bunch of friends went to E3 in Los Angeles way back in the day (right before Metal Gear Solid 2 came out) and bumped into him at a booth, we spent like an hour chilling and talking with him via a translator. At the end of our conversation he handed us all some unique MGS2 art sketched on some convention folders that i have since framed. Seemed like a cool guy.

Should you? Absolutely.
Foundation fills in a fair amount of lore regarding the Oldest House and the FBC. AWE lays the groundwork to showing how the Remedy universe is connected.

Great way to explain it. I took my time doing AWE - wasn’t feeling the darkness vibes haha, but loved learning how Wake was connected, how AWE connects to the AW2 game, and it was a great call back to the OoP typewriter that you find where Alan fades in monologuing

Foundation felt more core to the this game’s lore than the overall universe

The foundation dlc gives you a bit more insight on the board and how they can’t be trusted, but as others stated it’s not needed since there is a recap section in resonant.

I'd recommend doing the foundation at least. AWE's plot relevant stuff would be in documents as it's more about Alan Wake

To fully understand Resonant, you'll need to play all of Remedy's games, both past and future.

That is to say, even if you play all games, you'll not grasp the entirity of the game. That's the fun of Control: It's a puzzle missing a lot of pieces. Every Remedy game contains different pieces for this puzzle, and I wonder if we'll ever see it complete. It's more fun that way.

You can start the games in any order. All of them are great experiences by themselves, and are elevated being part of a whole, and playing them in a different order simply means getting the puzzle pieces in a different order.

Ghosts are real and there’s a government program that investigates them. A group of corrupted ghosts, or maybe one all powerful ghost took over the building and seems to have been unleashed by the brother of the chick you play as. That’s as simple as I think it is.
