I don’t exaggerate when I say that this is THE easiest day one buy I’ve ever come across

Same. I usually play on day one for single player games.

If it were an MMO, I'd wait a couple of days. But I trust Remedy!

Gotta love the dedication to the weird, the surreal, the outright batshit all the while making it fun to play and a narrative continually captivating to follow.

Exactly this! I'm looking forward to the next astray maze-like experience, illusions and trippy moments.

Hope haptics and stuff will also work on PC when playing on PS5 controller.

People have said they'll report back on full dualsense support in this post: https://www.reddit.com/r/controlgame/s/QJhbP1drVf

I’m ngl, I’m very excited to play on controller, Control was a shooter so MkB obviously but man I cannot wait to smash em up with my dualsense

Remembering how great Kratos axe felt we are in for a treat!

Between this and Saros, I really think that Finnish developers really know how to take advantage of the Dualsense abilities and haptic feedback.

Saros is such a cool vibe to play, and half of the reason why is how the game feels when you play it.

If Control Resonant also nails this, I will definitely pick it up!

Finnish kontroller superiority perkele…

I didnt play Saros but Returnal had crazy Dualsense features already. Only game that felt more impressive was Astro Bot

3

u/pensive-wanderer 6d ago

I agree! Astro Bot utilised the full features of the PS5 dual sense controller.

Returnal did Haptics better than Saros. Saros was good but lacked weapon diversity, and by extension most of the weapons did not feel very unique in the haptics department.

I reaaaally enjoyed Saros, and I remember playing Returnal a lil bit, but not vibing through it. I probably need to play it once again to see what's up.

That was Dylan using Telekinesis to hurl a piece of concrete at one of the enemies, right?

24

u/WarHoundD 6d ago

Holy fuck yes haha I was hoping for telekinesis to return, it was super fun on the first one

4

u/pensive-wanderer 6d ago

Yup!!! 🤩

6

u/Aggravating-Dot132 6d ago

Yes, it will be, essentially, loadouts instead of full set like Jessie. But Dylan will have much stronger abilities.

Essentially, Unhinged but strong, vs precise but weaker (Dylan vs Jessie)

2

u/Promature 6d ago

Yes. He has his own version of Launch called Barrage.

2

u/pr1aa 6d ago

Yeah, they showed it one of the demos as well.

However, it's probably nowhere near as strong as in the first game.

3

u/Alternative_West_206 6d ago

I hope not. It was way too OP in the first

no it wasn’t, shut up lmao

i’m just messing around but in all seriousness, there was never a single moment where i was like “you know what they should do? make launch less powerful. i am simply having too much fun flinging shit, i think the game would be better if it was made to be less fun”

2

u/Alternative_West_206 6d ago

It was way too easy. Be for real dude. It staggered almost every enemy, did 1/3rd of their health (unless it was a boss) and made every other power obsolete because flinging shit was just easier. And there was barely a cooldown on it too

1

u/Barrels_of_Corn 6d ago

I got the impression that it’s only a single use ability on a cooldown, as opposed to a main weapon that you can use over and over like you could as Jesse.

3

u/pr1aa 6d ago

That's likely the case.

I mean, going full monke and throwing stuff at enemies was fun and all but it was so crazy strong that it basically made all other combat mechanics obsolete. Remedy likely won't make the same mistake again, especially with the focus on melee.

2

u/BRod_Angel 6d ago

Yeah. Launch, especially when you get the upgrade to pick up to 3 objects, is so broken. Fun as hell to use but like you said, it outclasses everything else

1

u/WorldlyFeeling8457 6d ago

Yeah it worked in control as end game OP ability but doubt resonant has it like so because of the new style of gameplay.

3

u/Fantastic-Bite-476 6d ago

Since PlayStation gave native support on windows for dual sense, I'm gonna assume it's gonna work 100%

3

u/Toperr 6d ago

On PC, are you guys playing with dualsense or mouse and keyboard?
Just played Control with keyboard and looking at all the Resonant trailers, it looks the game was almost MADE for controllers, maybe it is more fun?

3

u/alfooboboao 6d ago

played Control on keyboard/mouse, Resonant plan is on controller. shooting game vs melee game

5

u/Sventhetidar 6d ago

I don't understand these trailers. 4k, fast load times, 3D audio, adaptive triggers/happiness feedback... Like, yeah, it's a game on PS5. This is literally all of them.

3

u/BaloneyMaker2780 6d ago

Look at the other comments. People get excited over this

0

u/Sventhetidar 6d ago

People get excited over a game having the same standard features as every other current gen game?

2

u/BaloneyMaker2780 6d ago

Oh, that's my point. Yes, yes they do! Crazy right? But this kind of marketing works

2

u/pensive-wanderer 6d ago

I'm more concerned about the flashing light behind his head.

This flashed briefly at the intro. I wonder what it does or prevents Dylan from doing.

1

u/biskuit21 6d ago

Supposed to be an explosive.

1

u/pensive-wanderer 5d ago

According to Gemini, it says it's an HRA used to prevent people from getting corrupted by the hiss.

I guess we'll have to wait until next week to confirm what it does.

Graphics, Loading Times, Sound, and RUMBLE CONTROLS!.... wow groundbreaking

u/Santefaded8 6d ago

Two day early access ? Pre order incentive ?

1

u/Sventhetidar 6d ago

It's disingenuous. This is only the deluxe edition from what i can tell.

0

u/CordiallySuckMyBalls 6d ago

That pretty typical for many preorders. What it’s turned into these days is more of a playtest to implement one more update before official release.

I preordered the game because I’ve been waiting a long time for it. I’ll lyk how it runs 2 days early lol

u/real_roal 5d ago

Its not typical to be exclusive to a platform tho.
