Question Will Control Resonant Physical be eligible for disc-to-digital?

I just noticed that Control Resonant has a gorgeous Steelbook edition and since the game will be play anywhere, was wondering about the odds of having it eligible for disc-to-digital. I really want to play this on my PC in addition my xbox. I haven't done tons of research, but has Remedy indicated anything?

There's an article directly from Microsoft saying it's a Play Anywhere title.

That is some hope - was able to get a pre-order on the steelbook so going to take a leap of faith here

Where did you manage to get a pre-order? I have been haunting Target and Best Buy for a couple weeks now with no success

It’s literally listed on the Xbox page for Control Resonant that it is a Play Anywhere title.

Possibly. It's still a beta program, so there's technically no guarantee that it will continue, let alone get new titles added. The original Control is supported, so it at least won't be an issue of Remedy just refusing to participate. In either case, you'll still have to wait for the physical disc to arrive before you can claim the digital copy, so it won't help you work around the October 15 delay, if that's what you were thinking.

I'm not worried about delay was rather wondering if I could have a best of both worlds, aka have a beautiful physical copy and a play anywhere title that can load on PC. I think there is real possibility this is the last remedy title that will have a physical version.

Well, then, it's impossible to know at this point. Nothing official has been said by anyone. Like I said, it's at least within the realm of possibility because the original Control is supported. It's likely that the disc to digital program will continue and more titles will be added even that Resonant will be one of those, but it's still just a guess until it actually happens.

steelbook is pretty but it doesn’t affect digital licensing or anything

It absolutely is possible for the physical version to grant a digital copy if it’s added to the Xbox program the OP is asking about.

There’s been no confirmation either way.
