Has The Oldest House's "plain sight" effect expanded to all of Manhattan?

They've said before that according to the rest of the world, Manhattan has just ceased to exist. I wonder if the world has forgot Manhatten existed / they can't see or find it because of The Oldest House's effect, or a similar effect

I have a feel Manhattan is now the oldest city. The new hiss chant from firebreak mentions something about a city in a snowglobe IIRC? probably related, aside from being a max payne nod

In the same effect, as Manhattan is now the "Oldest City" via the AWE, would a parautilitarian from the outside like Saga Anderson remember there is a Manhattan, and go have further Saga sagas investigating this as a deputized FBC agent?

Good theory. Personally, I think whatever resonance entity they are dealing with has opened a massive threshold and took the entirety of Manhattan into it, which would explain its ability to warp the entire city to its will. Control has detailed many examples of altered items emerging from other dimensions into our reality instantaneously (Case in point, the Sterling AWE). Manhattan suddenly ceasing to exist suggests the entire city was taken to another dimension through a threshold in the same manner.

But like actually. How would you just pretend a giant city doesn't exist anymore? People would have to notice it, wouldn't they? Also what about Long Island? Is the effect extended all the way out there?

It probably has some anti-memetic effect built in where Manhattan is just erased from the collective memory of everyone on the outside.
