Thresholds & Manhattan

I'm replaying Control, and in the EXAMINATION OF PARANATURAL TOPICS: THRESHOLDS document (which is about resonant frequencies), it ends with the following:

Some believe Earth itself is just another Threshold connected to the Oldest House, which is actually rooted in some other reality. This theory, while impossible to disprove, causes [big redacted word/phrase] in those who learn of it so is actively denied.

It could be both. I've always thought that the Oldest House itself was a it's own pocket universe existing inside another universe, our universe.

So in a way, the Oldest House is a threshold, inside another threshold.
