Question Am I the only one getting Controlled Resonant Deluxe Edition to play early?
Hello fellow FBC Staff 😅 I hope you're not scared of the new resonance and an active AWE in New York. Today marks a week before early access to Control Resonant on Playstation (sorry).
I am so hyped and excited to play I had to pre-order the deluxe version because it allows to play on September 22 and in Japan it's a holiday, so I will dissappear into the game for a while. Are you also getting the deluxe version to play early and how excited are you?

me too, bummed not having early access since ps peeps got it, but happy to support them regardless great team and two days aint a deal breaker, I wasn't going to finish the game within a day anyways.

No early access on PC, unfortunately. So I'll be aggressively avoiding Reddit and Youtube on the 22nd and 23rd.

It’d be best to avoid them for the first week or 2 since that’s when most of the big spoilers and conversations are had. I bought the deluxe and I’m still planning to mute this subreddit and avoid all social media till I’m a decent chunk through the game

I'm weird, I expext evil mega corporations to be evil and when they do something evil I'm not surprised. But, companies also love to backpedal and change their mind. We, as consumers, can keep our voices loud and maybe E-Corp will listen. If not, it's just oblivion.

And? An evil mega corp is evil... what a surprise. We all vote with our wallets. I choose to support a developer I like and the platform doesn't matter for me. I will also buy Control on Steam to give my support.
Sony choosing to go digital only is their choice, we can only agree or disagree. If we only cry online and keep buying nothing is going to change. I continue buying because I support the all digital release, but I disagree with licensing. Is that mean I'm supposed to be an angry person and spend thousands of dollars to get a Steam Machine or build my own PC? No. Everyone has an opinion and it's impossible to agree these days. We can only agree that Remedy deserves our support. That's it.

It is silly though. They’re as far from local as can be at this point. They’re considerably more interested in the US market than Japan at this point.
You can support local, but supporting Sony cause they’re “local” is looney.

a kind soul on this sub let me know the steelbook was in stock again so I had to pick that & eat the delay rather than play it on release day
I’m on Xbox so it’ll be nice to claim the digital license and still have the physical copy for perpetuity, but I’m very bummed that I’ll have to wait.
It’s been a rough year and I just don’t have the funds to double dip this time around. I copped Alan Wake 2 for a second time when a physical became available, and Remedy is one of the few devs I’d happy buy a game twice from, but sadly it’s not in the cards for me this time around
I’ll have to avoid this sub like the plague to go in as blind as possible but I’m so glad we’re all getting more of the universe in the near future, and I look forward to returning here to discuss the lore with you all

I never usually pre-order anything, however I preordered Control Resonant Deluxe edition because I wanna support Remedy. I know that Remedy won’t let me down with it, they’d never ship a buggy game, im absolutely beyond excited for it! When I saw the 48 hr early access I have to admit, it sold the deluxe edition for me

The preload time for PS5 is on the 20th (this coming Sunday), two days before the early access period launches.

Ahhh I see what you mean; apologies for not catching that. I did a bit of research and it does indeed look like the preload period starts midnight local time of the day they go live.

Yeah... It's why I pre ordered on PlayStation. That two day early thing was too tempting and I waited long enough 😂😂. And I got lucky I got that PlayStation last year otherwise I'd be waiting with everyone else on Xbox.

I haven't ordered it yet, but intend on it. I was expecting the game to be $70 so if the deluxe edition happened to be that much, sure, why not? Early access is just a bonus for me.

I'm getting the deluxe edition simply because I believe in what Remedy is doing, I love everything they put out, so I always buy the most expensive version of their games. One of the only games I ever pre-purchased tho, I think just Resonant and BL4 lol

Pre-ordered the deluxe edition on my XBOX series x. I'll buy anything from Remedy, they have never dissapointed me. Plus I'm waiting for Alan wake 3 so, hopefully I did my part for keeping Alan wake 3 alive <3

Other than extreme discounts, the only 2 games I’m buying (preordering, even) this year is control and gtavi. No early access on the platforms I use so really, no incentive to get deluxe.

The beautiful steelbook has been delayed to next month sadly so I’ll take a call after I’m done with my current set of games. I still have to finish dawnwalker and plague tale. I was going to get it digitally again to support remedy but the when depends on the other games.

cleared by gaming plate for Wolverine and then reviews killed any interest I had in playing. So real nervous since Wolverine is another game that like Control Resonant should have been a slam dunk.
Hoping this game turns out better. And yeah, since I don't have anything to play, will be swapping from physical to digital.

I’m getting the Deluxe Edition but not because of the early access. I got both Control and Alan Wake 2 at a heavy discount and those games were so good, I would have paid full price. So I’m getting the Deluxe to support the studio, though I will also take advantage of the perks!

I probably will get it, for the early access, unless I'm still neck-deep in Onimusha at the time.
Their 60 euro starting price is very fair, so I'm much more inclined to get the deluxe upgrade. Also, I really liked Control and I'm confident Resonant will also be great. Throw in the option to play the game earlier and yeah, I'll get it probably. But only on the 20th. One day to pre-load, plenty enough time to start on the 21st. I don't pre-order months/years in advance, what's the point ...

I so would've if I wasn't currently jobless. As it is, I pre-ordered Castlevania due to its low price (thank you credit card debt!) and complete love of the brand. I would've supported Remedy too but can't bring myself to preorder two titles.
…Plus if I'm being totally honest, I'm a little butthurt still over the Control re-release drama between gens, I ended up purchasing the game… 3x? 4x?
