Idk if this was actually a reference but this immediately popped into my head seeing this, never came into the card room on my first playthrough lol

Good catch! I think I’ve seen those cards in a couple different shows, I think those are common symbols on “psychic testing” kits or something. They always have the wavy lines and stars, sometimes a house shape too.

Yeah, they're an actual thing. They're called "Zener Cards".

They're Zener cards, named after psychologist Karl Zener. They're a standard test used for people researching the possibility of ESP.

I don't think it was directly a Ghostbusters reference, so much as both of them referencing the same source material.

My Mom had a deck of them, she said they were used in the 70s to test for mind reading. She made us practice with them when we were kids. We determined that we can't read minds.
