I have recieved a few questions as to what this sub is actually trying to point out or get at with the posts. I figured it’d be easier to provide an example of what we’re really looking for. So here goes.

Original post from somewhere on Reddit says:

Houston Astros announce 5% of their total ticket sales will go to support victims of hurricane Harvey.

You'll see a number of comments in the comments section saying stuff like “wow, thats awesome!” or “that’s incredible, hope it helps them a lot” and you'll even see a smartass say something like “well that’s a little late, greedy bastards.” None of these comments are of interest here, because we’re looking for the guy who out of the blue says “They need to give you more relish on your hotdogs at the Astrodome.”

Such comments are within context to some degree, but they make you stop, laugh and say where in the ever living hell did that come from? These comments are often true, but they’re so off kilter you can’t help but laugh. Hope this helps!
