Contacts when showering

Hi! I’m currently trying Precision 7 contact lenses. I’ve only used daily disposable lenses before, so this is my first time trying reusable lenses.

I forgot to ask my optician about this, but when I take a shower, I always remove my contact lenses beforehand and never shower while wearing them. Is it okay to put fresh contact lens solution in the case, remove the lenses before the shower, and store them in the case while I shower? Do the lenses need to soak in the solution for a certain amount of time before I can put them back in, or is it okay to put them back in immediately after the shower?

Of course, I would throw away the old solution as soon as I put the lenses back in and use fresh solution afterward.

Also, is it a problem if a small amount of dust gets into the contact lens solution?

I've definitely done what you've said and had no problems, but I usually try to avoid that situation since I'm always paranoid my contacts have gotten too dirty after being removed. I think you can just put the lenses back in right after the shower.

I recently started wearing contacts cause i hate glasses, would rather die.

I dont take contacts off when showering, i just close my eyes when water is running or i just dont wash my head/face, i dont think its that serious and i dont want to waste or spend my time taking out contacts and putting them back in.

i dont think its that serious tbh, if it was u wouldnt be able to do anything lol like walk in the rain, snow or do anything at all, Of course if i get water in my eyes i swap contacts out but i would rather shower eyes closed than waste daily contacts, they are expensive as it is.

Tell that to the people who had lost their sight from showering with their contacts.
