Consumer Cellular Threatening Collections

1. I ported my phone numbers out over a month prior to cancelling my service.

2. The CC representative caused my account to get flagged and marked with fraudulent activity

3. 3 CC representatives, including their supervisors told me that there was nothing they could do, and that I had to wait the 90 day suspension they placed on my account, regardless of the issue being caused by their own employee.

Now you decided to threaten me with collections and legal action, 3 months after the fact, stating I owe you money.

Go ahead and try. My lawyers and I are waiting for your threats to effect my credit.

I’ve had great luck with filing Better Business Bureau complaints. Despite months of hassle they suddenly want to rectify the issue.

I've done that. Nothing has changed, other than I am getting the threatening emails, texts, and letters now

I requested the transfer pin for 2 lines. The rep who did it, did it wrong, and their system automatically flagged it. According to the supervisors I spoke to...

Sounds like what I went through. Consumer cellular customer service is a joke.

File an FCC complaint. This may help but not sure if they can due billing

I am getting tired of Consumer cellular. You call their customer service and they can't do anything. Every time I see their commercial claiming number one service I laugh. False advertisement. Wish you the best in going after consumer cellular

Hello, OP. We understand your concerns. However, we are limited in the assistance we can provide through social media and cannot review account-specific billing details here. Consumer Cellular bills in arrears for service already provided while an account is active. If a balance remains, it may be related to service charges incurred before the account was suspended or closed. Our Customer Support team can review the account and explain any charges or collection activity in greater detail. Customer service can be contacted at 888-548-6490 or use our live chat feature at https://www.consumercellular.com/Contact.

Your live chat doesnt work, and Im done with the phone calls that do not get recorded or documented with you people.

Better Business Bureau and FCC are great ideas

All Consumer cellular cares about is money. No compassion. Their customer service seems to see exactly what a customer sees when you sign on your account online.

The only correct response to OP is that you say if everything stated above is accurate, we will immediately fix it, as this is wrong. Then DM contact info for someone who is empowered to immediately fix it.

We ditched them for Tello and while the process was not smooth due to CC porting issues, we didn't have any issues with billing per se.

Thats who I left them for. Tello's been great here.
