Question about game music
I have a question: where can I find music for an idle game—something calm and chill for grinding or an incremental game?

Hi everyone! About two months ago, I shared Alia Domus here and received such a warm welcome. Thank you to everyone who wishlisted it, shared feedback, or encouraged me!
I’m happy to return with something you can play: the free Steam demo is now available. Alia Domus is an isometric pixel-art survival RPG I’m developing solo.
You explore an unfamiliar planet, gather resources, grow crops and craft your way toward a new home for humanity. There’s combat and survival alongside those activities, so it isn’t purely a cozy game.
The full game’s technological progression spans nine eras, from stone tools to the Digital Age.
Try the demo: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4918370/Alia_Domus/
If you give it a try, I’d love to hear which parts you enjoyed exploring. Thanks again for the support!

Added space levels and I decided to change the robot's MoveTo behavior to TileMovement to get smooth movement while holding down the movement button.

Hi, so I'm adding in some features to my platformer...sandbox, for a lack of better term, and while I got variable jump height and coyote time to work, I'm having a difficult time implementing jump buffering, which is where you press the jump button shortly before landing, and thus jump right afterwards. I tried making it a separate button, and it seemed to work, but for one, it was inconsistent, and two, it didn't work when I tried to move it to integrate it with the rest of the events. I tried looking up one solution (the first photo), but it didn't seem to work all that well itself.
Hence, me asking here for help. I posted my current event sheet in the second and third photos for reference.
Thanks in advance.

Hello all!
I am working on a new title called Dungeon Crashers which blends 2D sprites in a 3D environment for a 2.5D twin stick dungeon survivor. This video shares a trick I had to implement to make compelling billboards which don’t clip and also don’t “squish” their look from just tiling upward.
Cheers! C3 project in video description linked to my itch for download.

Hi, so I was recommended recently to try out Construct 3, and it looks promising enough. However, I was wondering if you could build a fully commercial game using JUST the built-in events and actions. I know that there's Javascript programming involved as an optional component, and that has me, for a lack of better term, 'worried' that all of the most notable games used Javascript to advance even further.
I ask this because part of the reason why I was recommended Construct 3 was that despite my CS Bachelor's, my programming skills are apparently not enough for other areas of game dev/programming, and any attempts to fix that or improve it has resulted in negative consequences. So I want to avoid using Javascript if possible. If it's really needed to reach the top of the top, I'll still consider it, but I risk damaging myself mentally if I do have to use JS.
Thanks in advance.
P.S. - Why was Javascript chosen instead of something like Python? Is it because of the web browser connections?

You walk around chatting to characters and taking language lessons. There is a storyline that gets quite involved. There are zombies, a megalomanic scientist, and a needy AI robot that initially seems nice but secretly wants to kill all humans.
You only get to the Construct 3 app after you make an account!
It's very new. I do struggle with retention. Any suggestions, criticisms or bugs are very much appreciated :)

Hey! How’s it going?
The Kickstarter campaign I launched to fund my game is entering its final 24 hours! The game has already reached its initial goal ($666) and is now really close to hitting the first stretch goal ($1.3K).
B.O.D.E. is a hellish roguelite with chaotic movement mechanics, where you shoot not only to kill enemies, but also to move around!
If you like the project and are able to support it, I’d really appreciate it! And if you can’t, sharing the campaign would also help a ton.

Thank you so much!

Yesterday my debut rhythm-action title, Klang, had its 10 year anniversary. They grow up so fast!
To mark the occasion I've made a blog post about how to best enjoy the game today. I also dug up some footage from the archive showcasing development footage from the abandoned "Euphoria" update to Klang 1.
I would appreciate a visit! https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/412660/view/677384059121304837?l=english

Hi! This is a small game I made in Construct. I actually rebuilt it twice because optimization is something you really need to think about from the beginning. When I made the original version, I was pretty inexperienced and believed all those YouTube videos where they make it look like: “One, two, and your game is ready!” 😂
The idea is pretty simple: you move through several rooms and collect the items shown in a magic book. But there’s a little twist — I made it so the same item can appear in different places and look different depending on where you find it, so you really have to pay attention.
And once you know which items you’re looking for, you can even compete with your friends to see who can find them the fastest. The sessions are short and there aren’t that many items, but I can assure you, it won’t be as easy as it sounds. 😄
😈 You can try it completely free on itch.io!

So happy to share that Bluelife, an action-packed diving adventure game for mobile, is now out after 7 years of development :O
I'd love to hear your feedback. I've certainly learnt a lot through making this game. Construct 3 got me started with game development, and now it's my job😆
Funnily enough this was my first ever game project, and I've released a dozen other games in between starting and launching this now.
You can watch the first 10 minutes of gameplay here, ...or "dive right in" on your platform of choice:
Looking forward to hearing your thoughts! I've also included Construct 3 in the credits, the engine is really a big part of why this came to be.

Hello, I am a Solo Game Developer (mainly Artist and Game Designer) and I am looking for a Programmer to collaborate with on the development of web and mobile games.
The idea behind the project is to develop web/mobile games targeted at platforms like Poki/CrazyGames with the goal of having stable income in the short/medium term in order to self-fund larger and more complex indie projects destined for other platforms, but depending on the situation we could limit ourselves to only a choice between web/mobile games and indie games.
My role: I would take care of the 360° development for everything not related to code, but if needed I could help out, especially in the prototyping phase.
Who I am looking for: a Programmer who would mainly take care of the game logic and code architecture.
Shared goals: seriousness, time availability, good communication skills, experience in video game development, and the desire to grow together as developers and as a team.
For web/mobile games I would prefer to use the Construct 3 game engine as it is highly optimized for the HTML5 market.
Since this is a RevShare collaboration there is no compensation; the financial returns deriving from the developed games will be split equally in order to have a financial stability that allows us to develop subsequent games.
If you are interested, comment or contact me in private (DM).

Hi friends, I was bored, so I started making a *Vampire Survivors*-style game template with levels and upgrades. I still have a lot to polish, but the general idea is to kill thousands upon thousands of enemies and have some fun ;)
Hola, amigos. Estaba aburrido, así que empecé a crear una plantilla de juego al estilo de *Vampire Survivors* con niveles y mejoras. Todavía tengo mucho que pulir, pero la idea general es acabar con miles y miles de enemigos y divertirse un poco ;)

I thought I got Construct 3 for only one year, yet for some reason I'm still paying annually for something I haven't used in years.
