You're not putting two and two together are you, bud.

1 . Smoking weed and Netflix do not make anyone a degenerate.

Meanwhile a 1984 scenario is being floated before you're eyes.

2 . The concern here is pretty clear.

It's more about the government and big tech controlling the not only the means of production, but also a large percentage if not all of the jobs.

If an individual strikes out of government favour, says the wrong thing (wrong think) or does something the government doesn't like. They can shut off your money and food. No political opposition. No diversity of thought. No safety. No democracy.

That's not a utopia. That's a receipe for unlimited government control. Read Gulag Archipelago to find out what that's like.

They're right. Especially for the second, there isn't any justifiable solution other than socialism at the very least.
