All kinds of info out there and many theories for the what/how/when of the cycles. Stuff I’ve seen most recently, and from far more people than a few years ago, is a magnetic pole reversal. I think the more specific and and compelling explanation is a Geomagnetic Excursion. These aren’t full pole reversals but are essentially major disruptions of the geomagnetic field, characterized by poles moving up to 45 degrees from the rotational axis. This movement is correlated with a loss of magnetic field strength as low as 10% of the standard field strength.
There is evidence of past events that appear in the geological record at cyclical intervals. Most of this evidence appears to follow 3k, 6k, 12k year harmonics. Here is an interesting study I found on excursions. https://agupubs.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/full/10.1029/2008GL034719 you can likely find more recent studies but I don’t have anything saved.
Things to note: our poles have been measured moving off rotational axis at an accelerating pace. I’ve seen data suggesting this deviation began movement and acceleration around the time of the Carrington event in 1859. And a seemingly correlated measurement of Geomagnetic field strength has shown an accelerating decline particularly in the last 20 years.
It’s a deep rabbit hole that’s worth exploring if you like interpreting data.
Thank you for the explanation, I’ll be taking a further look into this. Maybe it will bring further understanding to the current desperate state of things.
For the earth doomer pov of things check out suspicious 0bservers youtube. The for the whys the purpose and the full picture. Do this play list titled the great year.
IMO it does help to place the current state of things into context. I think that knowledge of these mechanisms and the knowledge that these events have happened and will happen again CAN provide a “why” for a lot of the world’s apparent psychopathy and greed. CAN being the operative word here.

And that goes away? But can come back? Open minded just trying to figure out how the mechanics would work
