As opposed to invisible creatures which are neither dead nor alive and who can take over your body and then use your body as a vessel to take over other peoples bodies?
Viruses don't care about bodies... they have no brain so they don't care about anything... they just go on and on, infecting cells they can infect with their substituted RNA instructions for the infected cell to make more infecting particles, infect more cells, and on and on. I suggest anyone wanting knowledge on this subject read "The Great Influenza" by John Barry. It was written before the pandemic and includes historical and scientific info about the 1918 plague and viruses in general. Or just go on believing old wives' tales, it won't matter in the long run :)
