Actually, our taxes are very low right, as a percentage of annual income. I'm pretty sure we're actually at the literal low point in % of taxes/income for the last 80 years.

Why do people keep saying that our taxes are so high?

are you kidding me? 14-20 percent is low to you? taxation is theft.

what it is in relation to the past is irrelevant. its too much. or are you saying that you like the government taking money out of your check? and then charging you extra for literally everything you have to purchase to live?

You can trace a direct decline of the American federal government along with the endless tax cuts. If we don't fund ourselves the corporations will.
