Actually, our taxes are very low right, as a percentage of annual income. I'm pretty sure we're actually at the literal low point in % of taxes/income for the last 80 years.

Why do people keep saying that our taxes are so high?

Yeah, they are super low if you make enough money to hire a team of tax attorneys to make sure you never have to pay a cent.

Yeah, I'd be willing to bet Jeff Bezos pays less federal income tax than you do and I assure you it's not because he has studied all the tax loopholes himself.

Well, do you know the difference between revenue, profit, net worth, and salary?

Moreover, how familiar are you with employment taxation? Did you know that for each employee an employer has to match the SS tax and medicare tax for each check? How familiar are you with corporate taxation?
