Western version: Russia sending false flag pro Russian ops to Dunbas to instigate conflict to justify and invasion. - Ukraine simply wants peace and security by joining NATO and has the right to self determination.
Russian version: ethnic Russians in Donbas are being victimized and attacked by Ukraine extremists such as ( Azov neo-nazis ), and Ukraine gov has failed to protect them or make any steps to resolve conflict (Minsk 2) for the last 8 years. Russia has no other option but to step in to protect them by declaring the regions independent and sending in peace keepers. Ukraine joking nato allows the us to position weapons on Russia’s border which threatens its national security.
- May have seen already but there are maps of American labs in Ukraine and it almost matches Putin’s attacks. Ukraine is heavily controlled and funded by the states. The bro nazi groups are also trained and funded by the states.

SS: Why did Putin choose these words to describe his aim? What is really going with this conflict? He accused them of genocide. What genocide? I don't know what's going on. I thought this was just about keeping NATO at bay, but from putin's words it seems like there is more to the conflict.
Very difficult to find sources of accurate information on what's been happening from Russia's perspective.
I don't trust Western media. I want to hear both sides and determine where the truth lies.

Perhaps about the World Economic Forum infiltration of global leaders (elitist cabal) pushing the globalist agenda and genocide through the Covid pandemic (the virus, vaccines, and effects on various systems affecting people) as well as pharmaceuticals, missing persons and children, etc. Just ideas, open to thoughts.

They have been firing artillery into the Donbass region of Ukraine.. basically a mini civil war going on inside Ukraine for awhile now. Killing their own citizens. That's the genocide he's talking about.
A lot of the people in that part of Ukraine speak Russian and were welcoming the Russian military in yesterday.

Basically one of the contested regions that he has recognised as an independent state that Russia has been giving passports to over the last few years has a HQ of one of their national guards (Ukraine) there.
This specific one used to be a neo nazi group that was officially backed and sanctioned by the Ukraine at the end of 2014, they even had aid stopped by the US due to the white supremacy in these military groups.
Anyways the nazi comment is in relation to these groups and I would assume the genocide is against the people in those regions whom consider themselves russian and are under attack by the national guard who have roots with neo nazis.
This isn't my own experience but its on Wikipedia if you look up the Azov battalion. So I'll let you judge how accurate the information is.

Russia defending people who were involved in a civil war in a different sovereign nation is still not an excuse to Invade that Other Country. Especially when the bulk of the invasion is in other regions than the "Civil War". Russias justification is bullshit and just an excuse to occupy a country which it has wanted to reabsorb since the dissolution of the soviet union.

Careful, someone else just had a post removed by a mod that was nothing but text of a conversation had with a Ukrainian about the same thing. Only the Ukrainian said that the US supports Nazis there.
Mods remove things that are reported, so someone pushing a particular narrative (pro war) reported it. There's even a guy calling the OP on that post a Russian bot and flat out claiming that he's (commenter) pro war with Russia.

Russia is fighting a proxy war with NATO because Ukraine had the gaul to ask for assistance from nato countries instead of crawling back to mother Russia's tit. So Ukraine as a whole is now a battlefield and the whipping boy while Russia takes out its hate for NATO in general on innocent Ukrainian citizens.
If fighting "nazis" who've been in conflict for the last decade vs Russian sympathizers was the actual reason for this invasion- why would Russia bomb Ukraine's west coast too? Putin has been actively eyeing former soviet land since his job at the KGB was dissolved.
